Bio
Jade became a Respiratory Therapist in 2010, graduating from Algonquin College. She has over 10 years of clinical and management experience with a home oxygen and sleep apnea therapy provider.
She looks forward to being an entrepreneur, and along with her team, is focused on improving quality of life through patient-centred care, while providing exemplary customer service. Jade is committed to ensuring that the latest technology is available to improve the treatment success and clinical compliance of her clients.
Cathy Wellard
Healthcare Professional and Registered Practical Nurse
Bio
Born and raised in the community of Brockville Cathy entered the nursing profession 42 years ago graduating from St. Lawrence College. Throughout her career she has worked in various aspects of the nursing profession; including hospital and community care with the last 16 years being concentrated in the specialty of home oxygen and PAP therapy.
With her extensive knowledge she is excited to be working with InspiAIR Brockville and is looking forward to continuing to provide individually tailored care, while assisting with all needs surrounding home oxygen and PAP therapy for all current and future patients.
Oxygen Therapy
Oxygen therapy is a treatment used to increase the amount of oxygen available to our lungs and delivered to our tissues through our bloodstream. There are many reasons why your doctor may have prescribed oxygen therapy. These include:
- Obstructive lung diseases such as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
- Restrictive lung diseases such as Pulmonary Fibrosis
- Part of overall treatment of various cancers
- Relief for temporary conditions such as Pneumonia
- Some cardiac-related illnesses
CPAP
CPAP is an acronym for Continuous Positive Airway Pressure, a type of treatment for sleep apnea.
There are many different sleep disorders that people suffer from. Two of the most common are:
