Air 11 Over-The-Air (OTA) Update to address Humidifier Error Message

ResMed commenced an Air11 over-the-air (OTA) update intended to reduce the occurrence of the humidifier error message. The OTA update will be released on a rolling basis.

 

BACKGROUND:

AirSense 11 devices contain internal safety monitoring systems whose purpose is to ensure the device operates in a safe manner. Among these are systems related to power monitoring and management of the humidifier and heated tube. Under certain operating conditions, the device may incorrectly trigger an error message. The device systems respond as designed and turn off power to the comfort setting, disabling heated humidification. Positive air pressure therapy continues to be delivered to the patient. To clear this error, the user needs to acknowledge the onscreen message, then stop and restart therapy.

 

OVER-THE-AIR UPDATE:

ResMed has identified a software update intended to reduce the occurrence of the humidification error and released an over-the-air (OTA) update starting the week of April 15, 2024. Ensure your AirSense 11 device has the latest software version (SW04600.11.8.0.0). This can be found in the patient menu; + MORE & About. If the device does not have the updated software version, please make sure the device is powered on and connected to the cellular network (not in airplane mode) to receive the update.
